Microsoft selects Centek Associates to participate on a special project for their internal enterprise consulting services group.

The project involves creating, from the ground up, three service offerings that Microsoft s IT Architecture and Planning consulting organization will offer to their customers. Standardized methodologies, procedures, worked examples, training materials and templates were developed for three offerings including IT Portfolio Review & Value Realization, Strategy & Planning for Optimized Desktop, and Cloud Computing.

February 2009:  
Driscoll's procures Centek Associates to assist with new PMO.

Driscoll's, the leading producer and distributor of quality berries, has procured Centek Associates to assist with the implementation of their internal project management initiative. The project involves establishing detailed procedures and criteria for project selection, management, execution, and support. New project management software was implemented to support the overall program.

March 2008:  Hollister Stier Laboratories selects Centek Associates to complete Operations Improvement and Automation Design and Master Plan.
Hollister Stier, a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer, is faced with business growth in the contract manufacturing segment of their business. Existing order fulfillment and planning systems struggle to meet the requirements of this growth and increased FDA guidelines. Centek Associates developed a solution strategy capable of not only supporting existing growth but scaling to future requirements. The strategy is supported by task level detailed operations designs and financial justification backup.

May 2006:  Dole Food Company goes live with new automated order fulfillment solution.   The completely integrated ERP-based solution supports both manufacturing and distribution operations at the Atwater, California facility. The solution leverages the real time benefits of wireless terminals in production, warehousing, and shipping in order to automate time sensitive order and inventory transactions critical to effective planning.

June 2005:  Sound Transit procures Centek Associates to lead their business process improvement and ERP configuration project. Sound Transit manages large scale construction projects for the greater Seattle, WA region. The project focuses on eliminating inefficiencies in the procurement, financial and management processes through the design and implementation of supporting ERP functionality that enable the improved process.

August 2004:  JR Wood selects Centek Associates to design and implement an integrated distribution and manufacturing system solution. The project consists of evaluating best-of-breed and ERP-based solutions the will replace JR Woods existing non-integrated systems and provide critical operational and tactical benefits. The system solution will incorporate fully integrated wireless technology and automated data collection.

April 2003:  NYK Logistics Goes live in under four months.   Centek Associates filled a key role in the implementation success at NYK Logistics by providing application expertise and a methodology that enables rapid implementation and knowledge transfer. As project manager and application expert, Centek work with the NYK team to complete the implementation in under four months - an enviable accomplishment given the complexity of the 3PL model and the WMS/OMS solution.

December 2002:  NYK Logistics selects Centek Associates to implement WMS/OMS system. NYK Logistics, a division of NYK Line, selected Centek Associates because of their deep experience and successful track record implementing integrated Order Management and Warehouse Management systems into large, multi-account third party logistics operations. During the pilot implementation, Centek will work closely with NYK Logistics to facilitate the transfer knowledge and establish a "rapid implementation" template for use on additional facilities and customer accounts.

August 2002:   Ghirardelli Chocolate Company GOES LIVE on new RF-based Warehouse Management System in 14 weeks with
100% shipping volume achieved by Day 2.

The WMS is streamlining logistics operations, increasing inventory accuracy, increasing order fill rates and improving manufacturing efficiency. Expected labor cost reductions were realized by the end of the first week.

July 2002:  Bolthouse Farms selects Centek Associates to assist with new Business and Execution System project. Bolthouse Farms, a leading producer of fresh carrot and carrot products, has procured Centek Associates' services to help them design, select, and implement a new integrated software solution to replace most existing business and execution systems.

June 2002:  Centek Associates presents at Wireless Advantage 2002 Conference in Long Beach, California on June 4th. Ty Hansen, Centek Principal, examines the benefits and features of SCE systems by detailing two recent WMS projects in diverse industries; Port of Seattle - 3PL industry and ConAgra manufacturing process industry.

March 2002:  Centek Associates presents at Wireless Advantage 2002 Conference in Seattle on March 7th.

April 2002: Ghirardelli Chocolate Company selects Centek Associates to implement new warehouse management solution.Centek will be leading the design, selection, and implementation of a new warehouse management/production execution system for Ghirardelli. The system will be integrated with Ghirardelli s JD Edwards host ERP system and automate distribution, warehouse, and production transactions with radio frequency/bar-code technology.

January 2002: Port of Seattle goes live with fifteen new 3PL accounts in 90 days.Following the initial WMS rollout in late 2001, Centek Associates has successfully brought up fifteen of the Port of Seattle s additional 3PL customers on the new supply chain execution system suite that includes OMS/WMS/YMS/TMS. Functional flexibility combined with an efficient configuration design enabled this implementation in 90 days with no additional system modifications.

September 2001: Centek Associates Senior Manager, Tyler Simonton presents at the irista/HK Systems Users Conference.Tyler presents on the Keys to Justifying and Delivering a Successful WMS. His presentation is based on the lessons learned from three diverse projects in the third party logistics, consumer packaged goods, and process industries.

July 2001: Port of Seattle's third party logistics business goes live on OMS/WMS/YMS/TMS. On July 9th Centek Associates successfully brought the Port of Seattle's 3PL distribution business up on Provia Software's complete suite of SCE applications. The project spanned over 150 users, 1.5 million square feet of warehouse, and fifteen 3rd party customer accounts. The system supports a high volume operation that ships up to 150,000 cartons per day.

October 2000: Centek Associates Principal, Ty Hansen presents at the October 11th APICS Dinner Meeting. Ty reviews the Supply Chain Execution System (SCE) software marketplace including leading suppliers and their integrated applications. Ty also presents a case study of multi-facility SCE system project recently completed.

September 2000: Port of Seattle Chill Facility goes live on new RF-based barcode data collection system. Centek Associates worked with the Port of Seattle and their major customer to implement a new system that allows real time radio frequency-based data collection of critical inbound and outbound order information. The system supports Pier 90's inbound and outbound fresh fruit 3PL business that occupies two cold storage facilities totaling 138,000 square feet.

August 2000: Port of Seattle awards contract to Centek Associates to implement complete SCE system solution for their third party distribution business. The Port of Seattle worked with Centek to specify and select the integrated WMS, OMS, YMS and Parcel Manifesting system. Centek will implement the software supplied by Provia Software (Grand Rapids, MI). The system will increase order fulfillment efficiency and reduce order cycle times for several global accounts in their multi-facility campus spanning over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space. The SCE system will be brought on-line Q2 2001.

January 2000: Food Engineering Magazine publishes Centek Associates SCE research and case study materials as part of a feature article on system integration in the food industry.

December 1999: Centek Associates targets study of SCE software suppliers best positioned to address the demands of e-commerce and e-business. The study includes a three-month detailed analysis and review of the rapidly changing warehouse, order, and transportation management software marketplace. It reveals the top software providers addressing the following; third party logistics, web-based supply chain visibility, web-based order management, integrated order/warehouse/transportation management, high volume direct to consumer functionality, multi-facility distribution management, and more.

October 1999: Centek Associates announces the successful go live and operation of 'ConAgra/Gilroy Foods' warehouse management and production execution system in its final rollout. Implementing five sites in a phased implementation around peak demand and harvest periods, Centek Associates helped Gilroy simultaneously bring on line the Las Cruces, New Mexico and King City, California sites followed by another simultaneous "go live" for the remaining Gilroy, California, Geo Thermal, Nevada, and Umatilla, Oregon sites. In addition to conventional WMS functionality, the new SCE system system (provided by Irista/HK Systems) has the unique ability to manage and control the manufacturing process in conjunction with the warehousing and distribution processes.

September 1999: Centek Associates' to present as keynote at HK Systems 1999 User's Conference. Ty Hansen will present "Design, Implement, and Succeed with an Integrated Warehouse Management and Production Execution System; A ConAgra Case Study" at Tuesday's Conference lunch session.
